Q: What is the electrical voltage in Taiwan?
A: Most apartments offer both 110 and 220 volt (60Hz) outlets. 220V is more common these days, and most appliances and electrical equipment will have 220V plugs, though some may be dual voltage. Adapters are readily available, as are batteries. If you have dual voltage equipment make sure you have them set for the right voltage or it's toast.

Q: On the Alkaline cycle it leaves a milky white residue in the bottom of the glass but not when she runs the acidic cycle. What causes this? She says her other friends who have the Melody do not have this problem. It did not do this the first week.
A: The milky white is a sign that the Melody is working very well (perhaps a little too well) as it is caused by the ionization. Usually it settles down as the unit gets run in. It is caused by the invisible minerals in the water clumping together due to their high ionization charge and then becomming visible. It is fine to drink this excellent water but if water tastes a bit metalic then reduce the level of alkaline or increase the flow of water (to reduce the potency).

The in-flow water pressure for the Ionizer is .7 to 5 kg-ccm ( minimum and maximum ) so you can use a water container that is elevated above the ionizer to utilize the system

Q: You mention an option carbon filter that filters out chlorine. Is this an additional prefilter, or is it in replacement of the Biostone filter
A: The carbon filter absorbs 98% of the chlorine and if you add an additional 0.2 Micron carbon block it will take out the balance.

Q: Can you also tell me what % of heavy metals such as lead is removed by the 1 micron filter ?
A: the heavy metal filter takes out 99% and the special lead filter takes out 99% of the lead.

Q: Will the 1 micron filter take out all viruses, or may some get through?
A: No, but the 0.2 carbon filter will
